Picture: Ticketcenter HohenschwangauEntrance tickets can only be bought at the external link Ticketcenter Hohenschwangau in the village of Hohenschwangau below the castle. You must therefore buy your ticket before you go up to the castle.



Special tours for the disabled

Every Wednesday we offer internal link special guided tours for wheelchair and walker users. These special tours always take place after the official opening times (and are not held on Wednesdays that coincide with public holidays).


General information

  • The rooms can only be visited as part of a internal link guided tour.

  • No smoking, photographing or filming is allowed in the castle.

  • Please deposit prams and bulky objects (rucksacks etc) in the cloakroom.

  • Dogs are not permitted in the castle.
